Pilates Reformer & Tower- Private Sessions
All private sessions are personalized to each client; an initial assessment will be done during your first session.
Pilates Reformer exercises are a regimen of low-impact exercises that target the core, or “powerhouse,” muscles of the abdomen, hips, and lower back. These exercises are designed to improve flexibility, range of motion, coordination, strength, and balance. Incorporating Pilates into your movement routine will lead to daily life improvements like better posture, aligned and efficient movement, and relief from pain associated with physical imbalances.
Reformer exercises range from simple to advanced and are easily modified to fit every client’s needs and goals. The Reformer acts as a support system that helps establish proper form and alignment in a safe, effective manner that protects your joints. Reformers use springs attached to a central anchoring point, and exercises focus on using your arms and legs to push and pull against spring resistance on a moving carriage.
Reformer Pilates can be used successfully to reduce pain associated with back, neck, hip, knee or spine related problems, sports injuries, and pre/postnatal issues such as pelvic instability that leads to low back & sciatica symptoms.
The Tower is a vertical unit attached to the Reformer that uses a number of attachments, including arm and leg springs, pull/push-through bars, and roll-down bars. The Tower has springs in a variety of locations that allows the legs, arms, and torso to work directly with the springs. A stable platform makes seated and standing exercises easier, while providing an unparalleled stretch. The Tower helps to build strength, increase flexibility and muscular endurance, open the hips and chest, and lengthen the spine.
